Regenerative Agriculture

Regenerative Agriculture

One of the most effective tools we have for recapturing CO2 is to rebuild our topsoil. Scientists have estimated that soils could sequestor over 1 billion tons of additional carbon each year if we change our farming practices. Regenerative agriculture aims to do just that. As a bonus, developing healthy soils also leads to better food security so that when pesticides and fertilizers (being dependent on fossil fuels for production) begin to run out, there are still places that can produce an abundance. It also greatly reduces waste pollutants to waterways, restores ecosystems beyond the edges of the farms, and helps to rebuild rural economies by creating high paying jobs that AI can't touch. Below is a collection of some of the brilliant and courageous organizations and farmers who are working to teach and apply the principles of regenerative ag.
